Hey Lloyd!
Whether or not I was blogging myself, I always read your stuff – habitual reading if you like ;-) Thanks for your encouraging words on your weblog and your comments over here. It was a number of years ago in a brief online chat with you that you talked about looking for the gems in students’ habitual writing. In the years following I must have used the picture hundreds of times to alleviate the fears of teachers who worry that children might make mistakes and not produce consistent brilliance if they write on blogs :-)

I’m currently putting together some of highlights of my online teaching career so far and you of course figure highly. I just googled us together and went through some of the links. We’ve had larks my friend over the years and because of your remarkable consistency in updating your blog, I have readily available commentary on some great experiences.

I’ll show you the Blogs at the Chalkface collection when I’m done but here’s a few interactions I had forgotten about.

And here’s a couple I will never forget…

I reckon we should podcast a joint discussion about some of this stuff. It would be fun to try and make sense of it all ;-) Is there still a live link to the Unplankd site somewhere? It was there that folks really got me to think about weblogs as a medium. Ah the memories…
