Taking a walk outside the edu-blogging echo-chamber from time to time is good for the soul. I took a random blog from the ‘Recently Updated’ list over at EduBlogs and had a flick through it.
Mr. Light’s blog starts with very clear guidelines for what is expected of blogging students and their commenting. He then asks his students what they think of blogging and we can read their evaluative and overwhelmingly postive views on the medium.
The post that stands out even more for me is entitled ‘Instantaneous Speed‘.

As a member of Naace, I am a part of the email discussion lists. Naace members send emails to the list and they are distributed to all the other members who have subscribed and they have a discussion of issues, bouncing emails back and forth. Some clearly get annoyed by the amount of emails they receive from the list but I actually love dipping into the views and expertise that regularly drops into my inbox.
I can’t link though to any of this brilliant commentary and vision from the educational ICT world in the UK because it happens behind closed doors without hyperlinks. I find it hard to...

7 FG at Frank Wise School have produced a brilliant video for their Environmental Week. They have posted it to their Comenius Project blog so their partner schools (and the rest of the world) can see how good it is and leave some feedback. They downloaded clips from the BBC Open Earth archive and devised their own music and commentary. I’ve linked to it below but really would encourage you to surf over to their site and leave a comment. Finding this has made my day!
